WRVR is a free flight-route exploration tool. This policy explains what data it handles, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
WRVR has no sign-up, login, or user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, or payment details, and we do not build a profile of you.
When you open the site, WRVR makes a one-time, server-side lookup of your approximate location (city level) from your IP address, solely to pre-fill the nearest airport as a convenient default departure point. This uses the third-party service ip-api.com. We do not store your IP address or your location. You can change the departure airport at any time, and the lookup is skipped once analytics consent is declined (see §5).
To make the tool more convenient, WRVR saves a few things only in your own browser (never sent to us): your recent destinations and searches, your last-used departure airports, and your analytics-consent choice. You can clear this any time via your browser's site-data controls.
Flight options come from the Travelpayouts / Aviasales data service. Your search parameters (airports, dates, nights) are sent to our server to run the search and may be passed to that provider to fetch fares. See the Travelpayouts privacy policy.
WRVR keeps a simple anonymous count of page views (how many times pages are opened) on the server, to understand overall reach. This count contains no personal information and no IP address - it is not tied to you or any profile.
If you additionally accept analytics, WRVR records anonymous, aggregated usage events - for example "a search was run", "a result was expanded", "an outbound booking link was clicked", which regions are popular - to understand how the tool is used and improve it. These events also contain no personal information and no IP address, and are stored in our analytics backend (Grafana Loki). If you decline, no interaction analytics are sent and the IP-based location default is skipped (the anonymous page-view count above still applies). You can change your choice any time via the link in the footer.
When you click through to book, you are sent to Aviasales via an affiliate link, and WRVR may earn a commission on completed bookings at no extra cost to you. Aviasales then handles your booking under its own privacy policy. See our Terms & Disclosures.
WRVR shows ads served by Google AdSense alongside your search results to support the free tool. Ad consent is managed by Google's certified consent message (CMP), shown automatically to visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland; your choice there controls whether ads are personalized. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads; you can review and control this at Google My Ad Center and Ads Settings. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. WRVR's own banner (footer → "Analytics settings") is separate and covers only first-party usage analytics and the location default below.
WRVR itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies; its only first-party storage is the local-storage items in §3. Third parties may set cookies: Google AdSense (for ads, see §7) and Aviasales (once you click an affiliate link). Declining consent keeps ads non-personalized.
WRVR is a general-audience travel tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Because we don't hold personal data or accounts, there is no profile to access or delete. You control the browser-stored data (§3), the analytics/ads choice (§5, §7), and Google's ad settings (§7) directly.
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
